Mitsubishi Goes Electric

Australia will have it’s first completely electric car by the end of next year. Mitsubishi’s i MiEV will go into production next year and, all
things going to plan, will be available by the end of 2009!!
The i MiEV comes complete with a 330 volt lithium-ion battery system and a household charger plug which power a permanent magnet
electric motor. With the price of living on it’s way up with no sign of reversal, and environmental concerns a current hot topic, the dawn
of the electric car could not come at a better time. The i MiEV represents Mitsubishi’s continuing concern for the environment and
dedication to it’s welfare.
The i MiEV doesn’t stop at simply being a “green car”. This is a vehicle that can also hold its own in terms of style, space, handling and
even power! It challenges the stereotypical enviro-car image with a more spacious interior, smoother ride and stronger performance.
The electric engine offers quicker acceleration than it’s gasoline counterparts with, of course, no emissions. It isn’t simply the engine that
is green either, the heat-absorbing windows improve air conditioning efficiency, low power LED lights are used, turbines in the front
grille harness wind energy and regenerative brakes capture and make full use of motion power. The fully charged battery gives up to
160 kilometers of drive time! Hitting the roads by 2010, the i MiEV is at the forefront of electric car technology.
With the starting price expected to be around $30,000, you’ve got time to start saving for this amazing car. The future belongs to the
electric
motor industry and Mitsubishi are leading the way
